New review of head lice treatment in paediatric care

Created on 29.10.12

A new article in the Journal of Paediatric Health Care reviews recent pediculosis treatment developments and offers recommendations for the best methods of treatment.

The article by Eisenhower & Farrington is forthcoming in the November 2012 issue of the journal. It discusses the evidence behind clinical effectiveness of both newer and older pediculicides (including recommendations for ivermectin and lindane, respectively), as well as summarising what is known about other unproven therapies and school policies on lice infection.
