A meta-analysis study has revealed that the that prevalence of head lice infestation among Iranian primary school children is relatively high with greater prevalence among girls.
The study by Moosazadeh et al., published in the December 2015 Journal of Osong Public Health and Research Perspectives used systematic review and meta-analysis methods to estimate the prevalence of head lice infestation and its associated factors.
The study also revaled that economic, social, cultural, behavioral, and hygienic factors are associated with this infestation.
