Pediculosis clinical studies roundup

A short overview of pediculosis clinical trials in recent years.

During 2009, Clinicaltrials.gov shows 10 studies were commenced. Between the end of 2009 and today, six studies have been commenced. Of these, five studies have relevance to pediculosis, and there appear to be four unique studies.

The studies are:

• a comparison of Ivermectin effectiveness versus placebo;
• efficacy and safety study of the Hatchtech product Ha44 gel;
• PK and tolerance study of Natroba;
• comparative efficacy and safety of Licefreee vs Nix Permethrin treatment.
