Ovidical testing of NYDA dimeticone treatment

Created on 15.03.12

A new study of the NYDA dimeticone series, published in the March 2012 edition of the Journal of Medical Entomology, has shown complete ovidical effectiveness in in vitro experiments.

The research, performed by Strychartz et al., found that the NYDA series of dimeticones (92% w/w) were 100% ovidical following an 8 hour exposure, compared to 78% and 66% for water and 1% permethrin, respectively. Egg survival only occurred when the exposure time was reduced down to 10 minutes (<8% survival rate).
